 BTech Admission Process 2024

BTech Admission is somewhat similar for each college, however, some colleges have a different process for admission. The basic qualification for BTech is that the students must have completed their 10+2 from a PCM stream. Students can follow the step-by-step guide for B Tech Admission Process:

Step 1 - Engineering Entrance Examinations:  Apply for engineering entrance exam like JEE on their respective websites/online portals. Students also have the option to apply for state examinations. Other than these, some autonomous colleges have their own entrance exams like MET and Jamia.

Step 2 - Release of Results: After the results of JEE and other entrance exams, aspirants willing to get into IITs and NITs will have to take part in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Candidates willing to seek admission to other colleges will go for the Counselling round after the results are released.

Step 3 - Counselling: In this round, based on the merit list, marks obtained in the entrances, and the category into which each candidate falls, the counseling board decides to allot colleges and courses to students.

Step 4 - Admission Offer: After the counseling process is done successfully, admission to the most suitable college is offered to the aspirants. Once the student accepts the admission offers, they are asked to make further payments for admission confirmation.

Step 5 - Verification: In this round, students are called after their admission is confirmed and verification of original documents starts.
