BSc Electronics

BSc Electronics is a 3-year specialized course for students who are seeking to get an undergraduate degree in the fundamentals of electronics. For students who choose to pursue the course from a online, the duration of BSc Electronics three years.

BSc Electronics syllabus includes several specialized subjects like Analog electronics, Data structure, electromagnetics, etc., which the students have to study during this course.

BSc Electronics Admission Process

Students get admission for the B.Sc electronics course on the basis of their merit. Most of the colleges release a cut off percentage for the admission process.

Students who clear the cut off 10+2 percentage set by the college are granted admission to the course.

However, some colleges prefer to give admission based on entrance exams.

They will be allowed to appear for the exam only if they have the cut off percentage in their 10+2 examination also.

Entrance exams have objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

The candidates need to follow the following steps in order to get admission to the course:

Step 1 - Apply for admission 

* Students must apply for admission to the respective colleges where they wish to get admission. The notification for the application is generally released in the month of April-May. 

* The application is generally accompanied by the application of the entrance exam also. The students should make sure that they fill both the forms properly. 

Step 2 - Appear and qualify in the entrance exam

Step 3 - Shortlisting Process

* The college will shortlist the candidates who have fulfilled all the eligibility requirements. 

Step 4 - The shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. 

Step 5 - The candidates whose eligibility gets proved and verified will be given admission to the course. 

BSc Electronics Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for pursuing BSc Electronics are:

The students should have cleared 10+2 exams with a minimum of 50% marks.

The students must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English in their 10+2 level.

Some universities ask for a minimum cutoff score in the entrance exam conducted by them for admissions. 

There is no specific entrance exam for admission in BSc electronics. Some colleges might have their own entrance exam. Students can get the details of those exams from the respective college websites. Some of such exams conducted independently by colleges and universities
